The major indexes are mixed to start the week as investors await key inflation data.
Regional bank stocks are also recovering. The SPDR S&P Regional Banking ETF (NYSE: KRE) rose 2.6% premarket while PacWest Bancorp (Nasdaq: PACW) jumped 31% after announcing a dividend cut.
Earnings season continues with PayPal Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: PYPL) reporting after the close Monday, and Under Armour Inc. (NYSE: UA) reporting before the open Tuesday. Wednesday brings reports from Roblox Corp. (NYSE: RBLX) before the open, and The Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS) after the close.
Investors are also awaiting the latest inflation data. The Consumer Price Index is due out at 8:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday, while we can expect the Producer Price Index at 8:30 a.m. ET on Thursday.
